It's easy for kids to be overwhelmed by learning to read and chant their Torah portion, but Miriam broke it down into manageable pieces so my son was not overwhelmed. He did an amazing job at his bar mitzvah. Our whole family really appreciated Miriam's tutoring!

We cannot say enough amazing things about Miriam. She was truly incredible throughout the entire process—such a calming influence at all times. Our daughter actually looked forward to her weekly time with Miriam! She helped craft a truly special and memorable service that our entire extended family enjoyed. Miriam's boundless enthusiasm, empathy, and patience worked miracles. She also worked as our event planner, taking us from brainstorming and visioning to logistics. Ruby's Bat Mitzvah ceremony was beautiful. We were all so proud and pleased.
Miriam brings her passion, knowledge and warm spirit to our son's group Bar/Bat Mitzvah tutoring sessions. She is a deep listener and organized facilitator. We are an interfaith family, and she has created a space for our family—and more importantly our son—to understand and develop an authentic Jewish identity. Miriam made my Bat Mitzvah dream come true. It was perfect in almost every way possible. Miriam is the most welcoming teacher you could ever meet. Every Thursday I would immediately feel like I was in a good, supportive and safe environment. She is incredibly patient, and when you need corrections she does it in a way where you feel like you're learning instead of feeling bad. She will make sure you are fully prepared and confident. Miriam is truly one of the best teachers I have ever had, and one of the sweetest people you will ever meet.
To say that Miriam was the joy that made the ceremony would not be an exaggeration. I cannot thank her enough for the warmth, fun and peaceful celebratory atmosphere she brought to Isaac's Bar Mitzvah. When things went wrong (I forgot the challah and the wine cup), Miriam was beautifully calm and improvised a lovely 'imaginary challah' blessing that had us all smiling. She was Isaac's tutor and support as he studied, and I credit her calm guidance for the amazing job he did. I loved how Miriam explained Jewish traditions and meanings to our mixed crowd. I can't recommend her highly enough.
Our son participated in a study group with two of his friends, facilitated by Miriam, to prepare for his Bar Mitzvah. She was incredibly kind and supportive, and truly engaged the kids in the learning process—with great results! On the day of his Bar Mitzvah, our son was clearly confident and comfortable with the structure of the service: the prayers, songs, his Torah portion, and delivering his Drash. Thank you, Miriam!
Miriam is amazing! My daughter looks forward to her lessons each week because Miriam makes it so fun! She is so warm, creative and patient. My daughter is not only learning Hebrew but doing art, learning about the geography of Israel, creating original board games and stories! It's a whole Jewish education. We are so grateful to have Miriam in our lives.
