Everything you might be wondering about our services.
We recommend a minimum of 24 lessons total, and a maximum of 48. To be fully prepared, 24 lessons is the least amount of time to learn the entire Torah portion and all of the prayers. If you'd like your child to learn Hebrew, we recommend at least 3 months straight of Hebrew. Your family chooses the package and number of lessons, meeting twice, three, or four times a month—and you can customize a package for a different number of lessons.
We're happy to include Hebrew lessons to teach your child Hebrew. To read their Torah portion in Hebrew, we recommend our more advanced packages with 36 or 48 lessons. Many of our students choose not to learn the language and work in transliteration—we provide transliterations of all the prayers and the Torah portion, so working in English is easy.
Yes! We offer group lessons at a discounted rate. Many parents choose this option, as students enjoy learning in a group setting and it's a more economical method for families on a budget.
Parents choose a package that fits their budget, and the entire package is divided into monthly payments, paid on the 1st or the 15th of the month. Payments can be made via Zelle, PayPal, or Venmo. Alternatively, parents can pay in 2 or 4 larger installments.

Yes! Anyone who identifies as Jewish can have a Bar Mitzvah—in fact, a Bat or Bar Mitzvah can take place at any age, and some people have them as adults. We've worked with many families who had no exposure to Hebrew and very little exposure to Judaism, tailoring the ceremony to fit their family's wishes. This might look like a service predominantly in English with some alternative readings or prayers in place of some of the typical Hebrew.
We have primarily worked with families that are not affiliated with a movement. We have also worked with Reform, Renewal, and Conservative families, as well as families with little Jewish educational experience.
We do our initial family meeting one year prior to the ceremony date, and tutoring begins 9 or 12 months prior depending on the number of lessons. If your child would like to learn Hebrew, we recommend 6 months to 1 year of Hebrew before beginning the B'nai Mitzvah studies.
Yes. We have done ceremonies where we only officiate and do not tutor, and we have also only tutored a child while someone else officiated the ceremony. We are flexible to work with your family's needs.
